IndiaCorr Expo to start tomorrow in Mumbai

Corrugators show their excitement for the exhibition

The IndiaCorr Expo and India Folding Carton events are getting ready to bring the corrugated case manufacturing, paper packaging, and folding carton industry together at the most focused business platform from 8-10 October at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Goregaon in Mumbai. It is a B2B event for corrugated case manufacturing, converting, package printing, box making, and folding carton segments. It brings thousands of buyers and sellers to connect face-to-face to build business relationships, network, and learn from industry experts.

IndiaCorr Expo will bring 170+ suppliers and 120+ live machines on the show floor. And there will be some top exhibitors from the corrugated and carton industry, such as Kongsberg, Valcon Melton, Baumer India, CGSASP, Dupont, BHS Corrugated India, Bobst, Creative Graphics, Emba, Robus India, Siegwerk, VeePee Graphics, Zhongke India, International Pavilion, and many more. Visitors coming to this show can expect to see technologically advanced equipment and technology, discover top brands and witness live demos to source end-to-end corrugated, paper packaging, and folding carton solutions under one roof.

Here, at this event, Packaging South Asia team will be covering the show, and visitors can gather more information about the show at our Stand A7A in Hall 4. And, as you know that we have always been talking to both the visitors and the exhibitors about their presence at the show and their expectations, as this helps us in giving updates for the event or any new launch taking place in the packaging industry. Some of the exhibitors have shown interest in talking with us and gave us some information about their participation at the event.

While speaking with Zhongke India, we learned that the company will showcase its Automatic box forming machine ZK-5540C, Automatic High Precision Litho Laminator, Automatic diecutting Machine, and Automatic Window Patching Machine at the Indo-Corr Exhibition. The company has high expectations from the event as it believes that the industry is very keen to go for automation so that they might get a good response from the customers or the visitors. The top team authority from Zhongke India says, "In every exhibition, Zhongke India tries to display its new machine, and this time in IndiCorr Expo as there is a theme of corrugation, so we are majorly focussing on our litho laminator. Our litho laminator is quite different from other food laminators as its accuracy is so precise that you can easily stick one printed sheet to another."

CGSASP confirms that it will bring its CITO Creasing Matrix and Rubbers, Policart Anvil Covers, Renova Brakes/chucks/roll pushers, Esterlam doctor blades, Leadedge flexo Apac – Pre stitched Carriers, Lead/Trail strips, Cbak, Sandon Anilox Rolls to the exhibition at its Stand A44. The event is significant for the participants from the corrugated industry as here, they get a chance to meet many customers. CGSASP commented that the previous IndiaCorr event was smaller due to Covid-19, but it still had a good response. And their expectations are high this time, and they expect more participation from the automatic plant corrugators segment of the industry.

Talking about CGSASP's development in the last one year, Kunal Gandhi, director, CGSASP, says, "In this one year, we have done a joint venture with Leadedge Flexo from the UK. The joint venture is called Leadedge Flexo APAC. We have started manufacturing pre-stitched carriers in India. So, we are excited to promote this venture at the exhibition. The corrugated packaging and folding carton segment have become the fastest growing segment in the packaging industry, and it will continue growing for years to come."

The impact, resilience, and growth of responsible packaging in a wide region are daily chronicled by Packaging South Asia.

A multi-channel B2B publication and digital platform such as Packaging South Asia is always aware of the prospect of new beginnings and renewal. Its 16-year-old print monthly, based in New Delhi, India hasdemonstrated its commitment to progress and growth. The Indian and Asian packaging industries have shown resilience in the face of ongoing challenges over the past three years.

As we present our publishing plan for 2023, India's real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2023 will reach 6.3%. Packaging industry growth has exceeded GDP growth even when allowing for inflation in the past three years.

The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 33% over the past three years. With orders in place, we expect another 33% capacity addition from 2023 to 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels have grown similarly. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.

Even given the disruptions of supply chains, raw material prices, and the challenge of responsible and sustainable packaging, packaging in all its creative forms and purposes has significant headroom to grow in India and Asia. Our context and coverage engulf the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and further – to waste collection and recycling. We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers.

In an admittedly fragmented and textured terrain, this is the right time to plan your participation and marketing support communication – in our impactful and highly targeted business platform.
