Zhongke's new automated ZK-6421 offers ‘Rigid Box on Demand’
Zhongke India recently launched its new rigid box making machine, the ZK-6421, and two of these have successfully been installed in the TCPL Packaging plant in Greater Noida. The ZK-6421 is Zhongke's latest rigid box machine which was meant to be launched at Drupa 2020. This fully automatic model packs in new generation intelligence with fully digitized controls and 40 servo motors for high-speed production. The ZK-6421 offers features like ‘Box on Demand’ that makes the process of manufacturing a customized box much faster. The machine is capable to run short runs and large volume jobs with equal ease and precision.
Besides the normal top and bottom style boxes, the machine is configured to make special shaped boxes, which are the latest requirement in the luxury sector. Zhongke, one of the global leaders for rigid box packaging machines, has over 10 models of rigid box machines to choose from, depending upon the customer's requirement.
Zhongke India has a vast portfolio of packaging solutions which include automatic rigid box making machines, multi-utility case-makers, automatic grooving machines, magnet fixing machines and other ancillary machines for rigid box production. While Zhongke India is mainly focused on the printing and packaging converters in the Indian subcontinent, it also targets the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cosmetics and perfumes, eCommerce and premium packaging segments who are the ultimate end-users of the packaging made on its equipment.
The PrintPack 2022 show in Greater Noida was a great success for Zhongke India as it could re-connect with its customers and potential buyers keen to learn more about its automated solutions. It sold several machines at the event – across each category, including rigid box making machines, automatic dry lamination machines, high-precision die-cutters and also its window patching machines.
While commenting on the demand for packaging in the market, Rohit Rajpal, director at Zhongke India, says, "The packaging industry has huge potential, and its demand is going to increase manifold. The market is getting more and more demanding in terms of turnaround time and quality with high volumes The need to upgrade and automate the production to achieve desired volumes and quality is more pertinent than ever. The industry has also realized the importance of keeping up with times."
"Post Covid, people are exploring green options for raw material and the manufacturing setup. People are keen to invest in equipment that can give them ease of operation and the flexibility to run low and high volumes efficiently, with minimum human intervention. Zhongke India has upgraded its equipment to include these features.
We, at Zhongke India, are building our technology for a cleaner and greener tomorrow. All our machines have been upgraded to ensure low power consumption – for smaller carbon footprints, preset enabled – for minimal wastage, and high speed – for efficient production processes."
"Sustainability is all about minimizing the wastage and optimizing the production processes. We need to switch to smart packaging and have to focus on the right design, the right equipment with lower energy consumption, and better logistics that can reduce the carbon footprint of the entire packaging supply chain."
The impact, resilience, and growth of responsible packaging in a wide region are daily chronicled by Packaging South Asia.
A multi-channel B2B publication and digital platform such as Packaging South Asia is always aware of the prospect of new beginnings and renewal. Its 16-year-old print monthly, based in New Delhi, India hasdemonstrated its commitment to progress and growth. The Indian and Asian packaging industries have shown resilience in the face of ongoing challenges over the past three years.
As we present our publishing plan for 2023, India's real GDP growth for the financial year ending 31 March 2023 will reach 6.3%. Packaging industry growth has exceeded GDP growth even when allowing for inflation in the past three years.
The capacity for flexible film manufacturing in India increased by 33% over the past three years. With orders in place, we expect another 33% capacity addition from 2023 to 2025. Capacities in monocartons, corrugation, aseptic liquid packaging, and labels have grown similarly. The numbers are positive for most of the economies in the region – our platform increasingly reaches and influences these.
Even given the disruptions of supply chains, raw material prices, and the challenge of responsible and sustainable packaging, packaging in all its creative forms and purposes has significant headroom to grow in India and Asia. Our context and coverage engulf the entire packaging supply chain – from concept to shelf and further – to waste collection and recycling. We target brand owners, product managers, raw material suppliers, packaging designers and converters, and recyclers.
