Multigraph Machinery launches intermittent and rotary die

Shown at Labelexpo India 2016, the off-line intermittent and rotary die-cutting machine has a maximum material width of 400mm, maximum repeat length of 400mm and minimum repeat length of 100mm. It runs at a maximum line speed of up to 50m/min.

Also on display is a slitter rewinder equipped with defect detection system from BST Eltromat. Available in web widths of 330mm, 370mm and 430mm with rewind speed of 200 and 300m/min, the slitter rewinder has a maximum rewind diameter up to 700mm with the option of dual rewind of up to 400mm diameter. Other features include automatic stopping of defective labels on the splice table, automatic unwind and rewind reel diameter sensing, web edge guiding and optional features, such as 100 percent defect detection.

Multigraph Machinery also represents Zonten offset presses in India, the Middle East and Africa. Zonten has exhibited its intermittent offset label printing press ZTJ 330 at Labelexpo India 2016, which will be installed at Coates & Pack in Mumbai after the show. The machine is also available in 520mm web width with maximum unwind and rewind diameter of 700mm and 1000mm respectively. The press can handle substrates of 0.1-0.3mm thickness.

Sudhir Samant, vice president of business development at Multigraph Machinery, said: ‘Intermittent offset offers high quality printed labels for short to medium run at comparatively low pre-press and at much shorter turnaround time. This is an ideal alternative for label convertors looking for digital label printing option. Two decades back, the label industry started moving from letterpress to flexo, and we see some big label convertors adding intermittent offset in their production line in the coming year.’

Multigraph Machinery also markets: wide web CI flexo printing machines from C&C in Italy; rotogravure printing, lamination and slitting machines from Kohli; and high speed pouch and box-type pouch making machines from KunRun, China. The company is also a distributor of Manugraph, one of the leading Indian web offset manufacturers with a wide sales and service network spread across India, Africa and the Middle East.
